Pilot testing time


Prototype

I finally a game prototype to test! The interactions between the entities of the game are done and the progress tracking to determine if the player won or lost has been completed.

Bugs found after testing

Some insights were found only when all the conditions were merging while playing testing the prototype. 

Design coherence

The major issue was the coherence between rules and attainable goals. For example, the algae had a high (25%) healing power, and it made it almost impossible for the Aliens to contaminate the Water Sources.

Useful feedback

Another issue found was time when the game informs the player that a Water Source is about to be lost. It was set to be done when the Water Source's health got down to 20%. When testing all the conditions merged while playing the game, it was evident that it was a too short notice for the player to have time to react.
